Refund Policy

Ballam Studio – Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to have a great experience. This policy explains when you can receive a refund, credit, or transfer for purchases made on our site, including payments by credit/debit card and PayPal. This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

 

 

What this covers

 

 

This policy applies to:

 

  • Live online classes (single sessions)

  • Workshops/masterclasses (scheduled, date-specific events)

  • Class packs and private-lesson packages

  • On-demand courses and digital content (recordings, downloads, PDFs)

  • Subscriptions/memberships

  • Gift cards and promo vouchers

 

 

 

1) Live Online Classes (single sessions)

 

 

  • Full refund: If you cancel 24+ hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Credit: If you cancel within 24 hours of start time, we’ll issue account credit equal to the class price (no cash refund).

  • No-show: If you do not attend and did not cancel, we cannot refund.

  • Transfers: You may transfer your seat to another person up to the start time—just email us the name and email of the attendee.

 

 

 

2) Workshops / Masterclasses (date-specific events)

 

 

  • Full refund: Cancel 7+ days before the event.

  • 50% refund or 100% credit: Cancel 2–6 days before the event (your choice).

  • Within 48 hours of start: Account credit only.

  • Provider cancellation: If we reschedule or cancel, you may choose a full refund or transfer/credit.

 

 

 

3) Class Packs & Private-Lesson Packages

 

 

  • Start date: Activates on purchase unless a future start is agreed in writing.

  • Refund window: 7 days from purchase if unused.

  • Partial refunds: If partially used within the first 30 days, we’ll refund the unused portion at the per-class/session rate(based on the package price divided by the number of sessions), minus any content already delivered.

  • Expiration & extensions: Unused sessions expire per the listing. One complimentary 14-day extension may be requested before expiration.

 

 

 

4) On-Demand Courses & Digital Content

 

 

  • 7-day satisfaction guarantee if less than 20% of the course has been viewed/downloaded.

  • If 20% or more has been accessed, or any downloadable resource has been fully downloaded, the purchase is non-refundable.

  • Technical issues: If you cannot access content due to a platform error we control, contact us within 7 days—we’ll troubleshoot and, if not resolved, refund or credit at your choice.

 

 

 

5) Subscriptions / Memberships

 

 

  • Cancel anytime to stop future billing (effective at the end of the current billing period).

  • No refunds for the current period once charged, but you retain access until the end of that period.

  • Trials/intro offers: If stated, you may cancel during the trial to avoid charges. Otherwise normal billing applies.

 

 

 

6) Gift Cards & Promo Vouchers

 

 

  • Final sale; non-refundable, except where required by law.

  • Promo codes/discounts have no cash value and won’t be credited or refunded.

 

 

 

7) How refunds are paid

 

 

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method only (card or PayPal).

  • We do not charge you processing fees for approved refunds.

  • After we approve your request, please allow 3–10 business days for your bank/PayPal to post the credit (timing depends on their processing).

 

 

 

8) How to request a refund/credit/transfer

 

 

Email silviabellydance@gmail.com or call (832) 729-6454 with:

 

  • Subject: “Refund Request – Order #_____”

  • Your full name, order number, purchase date, and what you’re requesting (refund, credit, or transfer) and why.

    We aim to respond within 2 business days.

 

 

 

9) Class changes & cancellations by us

 

 

If an instructor is ill, technology fails, or a minimum enrollment isn’t met, we may reschedule or cancel. You may choose a full refund, account credit, or transfer to a comparable offering.

 

 

10) Fair use & abuse

 

 

Our guarantees are for good-faith use. We may decline or limit refunds/credits if we detect misuse (e.g., repeated refunds after extensive use of content, chargeback abuse, or policy violations).

 

 

11) Technical requirements

 

 

You’re responsible for having a stable internet connection and an up-to-date device/browser. We’ll provide platform access details and reasonable support; issues beyond our control (local outages, device limitations) are not refundable, but we’ll try to accommodate with a make-up class or credit where reasonable.

 

 

12) Local laws & international customers

 

 

You may have additional rights under your local consumer laws. For customers in the EEA/UK: distance-selling rules may provide a 14-day cancellation right for digital content not yet accessed and for non-dated services; however, dated leisure services (like scheduled classes) and digital content you start accessing can be exempt once you consent to immediate delivery. Where required, we’ll honor those rights.

 

 

13) Updates to this policy

 

 

We may update this policy. The version on this page at the time of purchase applies to your order. Material changes will be dated above.
